I used it for a few years mostly for pitch shifting and special effects and my horrible rendition of Chris Squires Amazing Grace.

Faith No More were starting to make a name for themselves as well and I really liked Billy Goulds playing and sound he was using distortion and a DOD Bass.
At that point I really don't remember many players using effects. My best friend and drummer was really into the Cure and introduced me to the band and Simon Gallup. I was just remembering my first foray into effects.
